Rock Wool Glass Cupola Furnace

Rock wool and glass cupolas are the core high-temperature melting equipment for rock wool and glass wool production lines. Using coke as fuel, they melt raw materials such as basalt and quartz sand into uniform molten liquid at 1450–1550℃ for subsequent centrifugal fiberization.

Working principle

Feeding from the top: Raw materials and coke are fed into the furnace in layers.

Combustion in the middle: Air is blown from the bottom; coke burns at high temperature to reach 1450–1550℃.

Melting process: Rock or glass raw materials are melted into uniform liquid.

Discharging from the bottom: Molten liquid flows out stably for centrifugal fiber forming.

Product Features

Fuel & Temperature: Coke combustion provides a stable temperature of 1450℃~1550℃, meeting the requirements for complete melting of rock materials and low-viscosity fiber formation.

01

Layered Charging: Raw materials and coke are fed into the furnace alternately, reducing reduction reactions in the preheating zone, lowering the coke-to-material ratio, and saving energy.

02

Sectional Furnace Structure: Upper cone for preheating, middle cylinder for melting, lower cone for molten liquid storage, expanding heating area and improving melting intensity.

03

Continuous Production: Feeding from the top and continuous slag & molten liquid discharge from the bottom, suitable for long-term stable operation.
